2. Personal data we collect
We collect only what we need for the purposes described below.
| Where | What we collect | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry and call-back forms | Name, mobile number, state and city, course of interest, what you want to know, preferred contact method and time, and, if you choose, email address, a message and whether you are a student, professional or technician. | Name and mobile number are required; the rest is optional. |
| Course finder | Your three answers (who you are, your goal, the topic you are interested in). These are not linked to your name unless you then send an enquiry. | Optional |
| Student feedback and testimonials | First name, last name (published as an initial only), star rating, your written story, course taken, selected highlights, and, if you choose, age, photo, current role or workplace, and a phone number or email. | Rating, first name, story and consent are required; the rest is optional. |
| Usage information | Pages visited, the language selected, which buttons were used (for example "WhatsApp" or "Call"), the referring campaign tag, and a random session identifier stored in your browser for that visit. We do not collect your IP address in these records and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. | Collected automatically, unless your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. |
| Admin accounts (staff only) | Name, email address, role, a securely hashed password, and a record of actions such as status changes and notes on enquiries. | Required for staff access |
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, health information, biometric data or government identity numbers through this website. Please do not include such information in free-text fields.
3. Why we use your personal data
- To respond to your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email, and to share information about courses, batches, timings and fees that you asked for.
- To send you a confirmation email when you provide an email address.
- To schedule and record follow-ups with you about your enquiry.
- To publish your testimonial on our website and social media, only after you consent and only after we review it.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so that we can improve it (for example, how many people complete the course finder).
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and misuse, and maintain records required by law.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form, and, where permitted by Section 7 of the DPDP Act, for legitimate uses such as responding to a request you voluntarily made and complying with law.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Where your data is stored
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside India. Such transfers are made in accordance with Section 16 of the DPDP Act and only to countries that are not restricted by the Government of India. We require our providers to protect personal data with appropriate security measures.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you enrol with us, in which case relevant details become part of your student record.
- Testimonials: for as long as they are displayed, and for up to 12 months after removal for our records. A declined submission is deleted within 12 months.
- Email delivery records: up to 12 months.
- Usage information: about 13 months, after which it is deleted automatically. It does not identify you.
- Staff accounts and action logs: for as long as the account is active and up to 12 months after it is closed.
After these periods we delete personal data or anonymise it so that it no longer identifies you, unless a longer period is required by law.
7. Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected and updated;
- have your personal data erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or when you withdraw consent;
- withdraw your consent at any time, including your consent to publish a testimonial. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- have your grievances addressed by us, and, if you are not satisfied, to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email at info@clusterautomation.in or call +91 89755 57209 / 7972293066. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by law and, in any case, within 30 days.
8. Children
Our courses are intended for students, working professionals and technicians. If you are under 18 years of age, please ask your parent or legal guardian to send the enquiry or submit feedback on your behalf, or to do so with their consent. Where we learn that we have collected personal data of a child without verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete it. We do not track children or direct targeted advertising at them.
10. How we protect your data
We follow reasonable security practices as required by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, including: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole website; access to personal data only for authorised staff using individual accounts and strong, hashed passwords; account lock-out after repeated failed sign-ins; role-based access so that staff see only what they need; rate limiting and spam protection on public forms; and records of changes made to enquiries.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected persons as required by the DPDP Act and the DPDP Rules, 2025.
